I first came across MV while working as a beauty therapist for a Natural Beauty Therapy Clinic in Melbourne. Having suffered for months with dermatitis around my mouth and taking strong medication for some months my skin was still red, painful and itchy. I decided, through a friend's advice, to try mv. I had an mv treatment and took the recommended products home and within 2 days all my symptoms had calmed down and then cleared within a month. As a wholistic practitioner, I am aware of the importance of balancing the mind, body and spirit in order to balance the skin. I had been searching for a wholistic skin therapist that resonated this belief and I finally found the enlightened Sharon. My favourite treatment is the 95 minute MV Radiance Therapy treatment, which Sharon describes as a "total mind/body experience". Instantly my mind is stilled, my body is deeply relaxed and I emerge with radiant, smooth skin that is scented like heaven.
I am a runner and have suffered from lower back pain for some time. Following a concerted campaign for my own welfare from my wife I finally visited a Physiotherapist to hopefully discover the problem and find the cure. After six weeks of moving the pain from my right side to my left side and then back again the Physiotherapist eventually was honest enough to say that he could do no more for me and sent me on my way along with the original pain plus a wonderful new CLUNK in my back that now occurs every time I twist my spine!! Next port of call was a Chiropractor who my mother in law reckons saved her life from one of misery to joyful and free movement. I tried the manipulation, which was performed by a device that looks like the offspring from the frantic copulation between a Pogo Stick and a Door Stop. The Chiropractor produced a neatly written, on expensive paper, "12 month Program" of manipulation, which, he said, would produce the cure, I was seeking. I was also supposed to pay for this in advance! I stopped this treatment after he could not answer the very basic question "How do I assess the effectiveness of your Treatment throughout this period " His reply of "I don't know" meant to me that this 12-month program was more about good cash flow and keeping the Bank Manager happy than sound clinical practice. A final parting manipulation that day produced in me that night such severe pain that I could not breath and I thought I was having a heart attack. A visit to the Doctor the following morning and several X-rays and Blood Tests later the prognosis from my GP was that it was muscular pain. Fantastic - $300 to tell me I had a sore muscle! A telephone call to the ex-Chiropractor resulted in his advice that it may be Thoracic nerve over stimulation. Whatever it was I could still only take half breaths due to the sharp and excruciating pain. Enter Sharon from MV Radiance who was appalled to hear my tale of woe and demanded to " have a look at you ". As anybody who knows me is aware I am afraid I am from the school of scepticism. Any "ooga booga" treatment and you have lost me completely. So it was with a certain sense of trepidation, and the excruciating pain still present, that I sat down on the bed. Sharon placed one of her hands on the focal point of the pain, which was on my left hand side at the front just where my heart was. The other hand was placed at the back of my neck, in the Thoracic region, as this was suspected of being the original source of the pain. All that could be heard was Sharon's breathing and the occasional gasp! 15 minutes later Sharon removed her hands and in that millisecond of time my 49 years of scepticism vanished, as had the pain, all of it. If I knew what a stunned mullet is supposed to look like then I imagine that is exactly how I looked. I don't know how it works all I know is that it did work for me and I am forever grateful to Sharon and her alternative methods of treatment. I will continue with this Reiki Treatment on a remedial basis and hope to resume running, although only on soft sand now, within weeks. Thank you Sharon ! Score 10/10
On a typically busy city afternoon I rushed into MV Radiance for the first time. I was looking for a quick fix; fabulous skin and a renewed sense of self-confidence! I really had no idea what was awaiting me though and nothing could have prepared me for the experience. I felt I had been held, nurtured and soothed of all my stresses and that this was exactly the intension.
